The Daughters of the American Revolution is a service organization whose mission is to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Community Service is at the heart of our chapter’s activities. We have served our community with our members donating their time, money, goods, and other resources to assist various nonprofit organizations.
Organized in June 2014, the Sierra Nevada Chapter, NSDAR, is the second youngest DAR chapter in Northern Nevada, yet it is already the third largest chapter in the state. This membership growth can be attributed to the chapter’s active involvement in the community and the enthusiasm it generates among its members.
We take great joy in honoring the men and women who currently serve and have served our country. Starting with our patriots, from whom we descend, to today’s troops, we owe a debt of gratitude for their sacrifices which enable us to enjoy our freedoms. Their dedication to serving is deeply appreciated.

We are a dedicated and friendly community of women organized to celebrate our heritage, perpetuate our love of American patriotism, support our veterans, preserve American History, research genealogy, address women’s issues, and help secure America’s future through education.
